Let's stay connected

Hey guys,

First of all, glad i'm not the only one who still gets nostalgic and walks through this ghost town.

Secondly, damn it feels good to make a new topic on a forum again. Feels like the first time, every time.

Thirdly, and the main point of this whole post. I think we should all put links out to other ways to contact each other.

Look, it's obvious if you're coming back and visiting the site this place meant something to you at one point or another. If that something is as little as you had some good times and laughs on here, or as something as big as this place was where you spent most of your free time when you were younger (Like me).

Everytime i come back here i get a little sad because i look back at some users who i use to talk to every single day and now they're just gone, most of them leaving no way to get in contact with them. I hate it, it feels like i'm visiting an actual cemetery with all of these old accounts laying around like frozen time capsules. I wish i had been smarter and got any other way to stay in touch with people but for the most part i didn't.

Maybe i'm the only one who put this much stock into the relationships built on this site, and i could go on and explain why they were so important and how they probably saved my life but that's not what this post is about. This post is about posting a link to some other way to keep in touch with you. Twitter, facebook, an active forum, Skype, Steam account, a gamertag, fucking snapchat anything you want to share do it here if you want to be able to stay in touch. Because one day this site won't be here, the cemetery will be closed and we'll all eventually forget that stupid site we went to so we could play mario kart with strangers.

Huh, funny. Shake found me on Twitter, which led me to thinking back to this place... Which led me to a post by Shake. Strange how things go sometimes.

I actually do miss this place sometimes. There was so much wrong with it (You wouldn't believe the mod arguments and hatred going on behind the scenes, hoo boy) but it still became strangely important to me. Back in those days I was picked on in school, unsure of myself, and so much more besides, but then I came here and everyone was friendly and cool. And it was fun just to chat, and be a part of things, and write posts like this one which went on for way too long!

Then I became a mod, and I still remember when we did a silly awards thing, and people voted me "best user" - which sounds like some sort of boast, but it's not. Because what it did was made me feel better about myself. Let me know that people actually liked me for me. I dunno. It sounds silly. But it's true. So for those who end up reading this - thanks for being part of that.

Feel free to add me on your platforms of choice, although I don't actually use that many;

Hi Shake, I think I remember you from a long time ago, you had a milkshake pic as an avatar?!? I remember Supremesonic too.

Basically I was playing Mario Kart DS again for the first time in many years,and I got curious to see if this site was still here. I remember having a lot of great races here back in the dsmeet days.

I'll leave my details here in case anyone comes by here and still remembers me:
