Classmates Ad

I may have missed a discussion (I haven't entirely been around for a while), but I seem to recall avoiding having ads that come up when following a link. Lately, I've been seeing a Classmates.com ad that comes up when you click a link. It's got the normal "Skip this ad" link at the bottom... But it really disrupts things.

Is it necessary?

It happened twice when going from my watchlist to Najzere's talk page... Hasn't happened since. If it happens again, I'll post a screenshot.

I'll also run some anti-spyware software just in case.

The classmates ads should now be gone. Are there any others causing problems?

I saw the same classmates.com ad today, and also one from lowermybills.com - an Experian company.

We are going to continue to have non-gaming ads displayed. However, the intersticial ads (where the whole page is an ad and you have to skip it) should be gone.

Were those just the regular "on the side" ads you saw, or the intersticials?

Both I mentioned were interstitials. The classmates.com ad was just like the screenshot I posted on SW. The other ad was similar in form, just a different ad. I didn't save the screenshot.
